Hypnotherapy for Menopause

Feeling Positive about Menopause
Where you’re at…
Your symptoms started a few months or years before your periods stopped (a time known as perimenopause) and these symptoms have persisted after menopause (menopause meaning ‘the ceasing of menstruation’). You may have feelings of fear and uncertainty about this stage in your life. Your family or colleagues may not understand about menopause and its symptoms, and you feel you can’t speak to them about what you are going through.
The problems you have right now…
You feel less attractive in yourself or to your partner. You are experiencing constant mood swings, hot flushes, night sweats, feminine dryness, a reduced sex drive (libido), problems with memory and concentration, tiredness and irritability. In your daily life you feel less confident and unable to cope, no matter how hard you try.

  • your confidence levels and self-esteem
  • your relationships, especially with your partner
  • your ability to cope at home and at work
What you need help with right now…
What would help you right now is to be able to deal with these changes; they may not always be for the worst — think, no more painful or heavy periods, or happy ‘accidents’! A positive mindset will have a profound effect on your sense of well-being and how you approach this aspect of the ageing process.
How I can help you feel positive about menopause
We will start with a taster session to understand where you are now and what you would like to achieve. I will explain how the mind works, how the conscious and subconscious minds work together, and how negative thoughts may prolong the effects of menopause.

I will also explain how hypnosis works to enable you to access your subconscious mind. Together we will explore how positive changes will enable you to live the life you want to live.

It will be important for us to ‘assess’ your current emotions so that we can measure the progress you and your subconscious mind will make in future sessions. Each session will include hypnosis specifically tailored to your needs. This will involve positive suggestions to your subconscious mind, creating an overall feeling of calmness and acceptance of your body changes. Some light exercise, yoga, pilates or meditation are excellent activities to complement your therapy.

Menopause is not an illness or a disease; it’s the end of one phase and the beginning of another — and it can be a positive phase if you want it to be.
